Global RallyCross: Travis Pastrana and Bryce Menzies headed down to Foz Do Iguaca, Brazil for the opening round of Global RallyCross competition but the change in hemisphere didn't seem to help. In the four heat races, the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) and 10-lap feature, winning the battle through Turn One was a major factor in the finishing order. Travis Pastrana in the No. 199 Red Bull/Discount Tire Dodge Dart banked on a maverick strategy in the 10-car final: instead heading to the inside and banging fenders with the rest of the crowd, Pastrana elected bypass his competition and go the outside, pull a power slide and take the lead. The 600-horsepower Dart had the oomph and the rest of the field did as expected but the slide slid too far and Pastrana would up in the outside barriers.
