Ah, Michael Karesh!

Allpar, meet Michael Karesh. He's back for another of his quick hit and run posts to funnel Allpar traffic to his forum.

My "wobble" is naturally produced by calling them as I see them, simple as that.

I wouldn't participate in any survey or read any reviews written by people who'd be swayed by posts like yours. Would you?
Boy, I sure wish I had time to tear apart the garbage you write line by line, but unfortunately it's the holidays and my time is short.

But I'll start with this. I had to spend some time on the TTAC archives to dig this one up. (folks, that's another place he posts his cra... um... stuff on) I hate visiting that scandal rag though, so I had to hold my nose:

After all, Dodge is bringing back the Dart, which old folks remember as a POS
Remember that one, Mike? From your Detroit Autoshow post... Yeah, I did. That was BEFORE the Dart review. Call it like you see it? More like you just call it... then maybe you'll see it.

I got plenty more... See ya back here in a few months!

In the meantime, please, anyone on here who has reliability data to share... don't share it with him.

We've updated the our reliability stats for the Avenger and Sebring to include owner experiences through September 30, 2012.

The reported repair rate for the 2008 is 29 repair trips per 100 cars per year, so it is now better than average. But this stat is based on a small sample size, so it is not precise.

We'll have further updates later this month and in May. We'd love to provide more precise stats and cover more model years--just a matter of getting more owners involved!

Jared,

In retrospect, my comment on the original Dart was based on insufficient information, largely what I picked up from my father and others back in the 1970s. And they were probably reacting more to how the car looked and felt than how it held up over time. My parents did buy a Volare with the slant six because of this engine's reputation. That car did turn out to be quite awful.

There's a thorough discussion of my comment here:

http://www.curbsideclassic.com/curbside-classics-american/curbside-classic-1968-dodge-dart-which-old-folks-remember-as-a-pos/

I'll grant that while some commenters support my statement, most who are old enough to have directly experienced the car (I am not) disagree with it.

I don't agree with everyone's opinion all the time, either. But I respect their right to have a different opinion, and don't engage in a personal vendetta when their opinion is different than my own.

lol still on the 2008's?
I have a 2011 with 70000km.
times been to shop for non-maintenance repairs- 1 a recall for a software update lol

By the way, my dad had a Scamp (Plymouth sister to the dart) and was actually recommended by his mechanic buddy to get one because of the reliability it had. It also had the slant six. He loved that car.

Still only the 2008 for the Avenger and Sebring, and this year barely, because few people have been participating with these models. Far more for Asian competitors and the Fusion.

Our reliability stats for the Avenger and Sebring now include owner experiences through March 31, 2014, making them nearly a year ahead of other sources.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2008 Avenger and Sebring: 46, low, very small sample size

Thank you, once again, everyone who has been helping. Next update in August.
