2004 Laredo that the backup lights donot come on then in reverse. Put 2 new bulbs in. Nope. Looked in Owners manual for any fuses that maybe blown, none listed, also none listed for fuse box under hood. Thanks for help!!
Also check the neutral safety switch, and the sockets for the bulbs. I had the brass socket contacts crumble in one backup light and had to replace the entire socket.
With the 42RE transmission, the reverse/neutral safety switch is a 3-wire connector towards the rear trans housing on the driver's side. The outer 2 wires are for the reverse lights.
One is ign. power (+) in from the fuse and the violet wire is out to the rear lights.
