Chrysler even used him in their ads................
IIRC, he considered himself the top drag racing driver/engine builder for Mopar and wanted to be their sole recipient of factory supported drag racing. He was obviously rejected, never forgave Chrysler Corp, and the rest is history.
I remember watchiing "Wild Willie Borsch" (I believe that's the spelling) at Suffolk VA, around 1962, AA/FA, he was steering with his left hand and his right hand was beating on the side of the car, like he was flogging a horse.
How About Kevin Helms Winning Super Stock AtSt,Louis Mid West Nationals Second Win Of The Year In Doug Duell's Barracuda Also Won At Norwalk.Helms Is A Great Driver And Tuner.The Car Has Had Several Engines In It But I Believe This Is A Gen 3 Hemi.
