Going to attempt installing the mirror caps today. The chrome caps really do not look right with black wheels. I purchased some pre-painted gloss black ones from eBay that @Scottina06 recommended to me (thank you!) and with the black wheels, I've decided to keep them black instead of having the caps painted Sangria to match the Jeep. The contrast of the black and purple looks good when the sun hits the paint.
After doing the wheels and mirror caps, I'm tempted to leave some of the chrome. I have Mopar gloss black roof rails ordered and some unpainted door handles to have matched to the body color. I also still want to add the black tail lamp bezels and installed LED reverse lights at the same time. But after that, I may leave the chrome badges and trim on the front and rear. The paint is so dark that when it's all black, it'll all just blend together and I'm concerned that it may look kind of cheap.
Today I only made a small change. Grand Cherokees don’t really have Easter eggs like the other Jeep models, so I found some Grand Cherokee silhouette stickers on Etsy. Pack of 3 for $4. I only installed one.

Once they stuck that ZF designed 8 speed behind it , it was transformed into a really quick V6. Have a 20 Durango and the difference between my Durango and our 2014 DGC with the V6 is like night and day .
Just tried Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax. Durability isn’t going to be good from what I’ve read, but it does look good right after application. I’m stripping all the wax off next weekend anyway to do another round of polishing so I wanted to test it and see how it looked without having to keep it on there long-term if I didn’t like it. Don’t think it’s going to bead water very well now that this is the top layer, but I have Meguiars Ultimate Paste Wax on underneath the Butter Wax so we’ll see. In any case, it’ll be good to have in my detailing arsenal.
Oh, and on Tuesday I got the front windows tinted to match the rear.
