The brake proportioning valve in my 1989 Dodge Spirit is no longer working properly. After a fairly thorough online search, it appears that these valves are no longer available, either OEM or aftermarket. So, I'm trying to figure out how to proceed.
Some options:
1. Is it possible to rebuild/recondition my old one?
2. Is it possible to adapt a "universal" one to work with this car (front disc brakes, rear drum brakes)?
3. Am I likely to one in an auto recycler's inventory that hasn't already failed in a similar way?
Are there others options? Has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks for your help
