Welcome to Allpar. Is that the intermittent cam position sensor code P0340?
It may be the sensor itself (OEM part recommended) or other possible, but less likely causes like the wiring harness, crankshaft position sensor or internal PCM, etc. setting the cam code.
The cam sensor is cheap and simple enough to change (10mm socket) that you could do it yourself and save some money.

At the rear of the head should be the air cleaner intake hose and a wiring harness that can be moved out of the way?
