All of a sudden the charger won't start. It has a 1973 400 cid with electronic ignition. No spark. Good gas, no luck. Cranks good. Tests I found on the internet all are good. One I found was to use a jumper wire from the + battery to the + of the coil, I did that and as soon as I touched it the engine started cranking! Is this correct. I did not let it go long as this does not sound right to me. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong? Thanks, Bob

Looking at the wiring diagram, looks like connecting a jumper from +coil to + battery will indeed bypass the ignition switch, so that I guess is normal. No spark and everything looks good. Could the coil be bad?
