These transmissions don't have a dipstick, so I guess you made your own, marking the depth in mm, as some have advised to do.
I have a very slow pan leak from my van, so I'll need to remove the pan, drain and refill, and fashion a dipstick. I was planning to measure it cold with engine off at about 80F ambient, as a reference point for initial refill, then use the charts as best I can. So far it's only lost a few ounces, as far as I can tell, enough for a couple of small stains on the garage floor.

Question for all, since I never delved into this, but will do so soon:

The 62TE has no dipstick, but there is a cap on the tube. If I remove the cap, will it re-install tightly and stay in place, or is it a tamper-proof or one-time-use cap? Does it just pull off? I haven't wanted to take a chance. thanks.
