The car still has the intermittent humming noise, that sounds like it is the tire or maybe back brakes lightly dragging causing a hum. Going to take the tire off and inspect to see if I can see anythingwrong with the tire or brakes. If all looks good, I am putting the spare on, one position at a time to see if the hum goes away. IF it does, then the tire I took off must have a broken belt or other defect. I just put Michelin tires on and they were pretty expensive, first time I ever spent that much money on a set of tires. Any other suggestions?
I had Michelins on the '86 Chrysler GTS that developed a severe vibration. It was either a belt failure or something along those lines. Not sure if the suspension contributed to the issue or not. Installed new tires and never had that issue again.

Yes, Michelins are pricey, but they do last. When I took delivery of my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT it had Michelins. They had 111,000 miles on them when I finally replaced them. Grip became squirrely the last 10K miles. I've purchased Primewells and Firestone Destination LE's since and got good wear out of them, but nowhere near what I got out of the Michelins. I've managed to get 60K out of the Primewells (a 50K tire) and about 70K out of the Destination LE's. Currently have Destination LE3's on it now.

About wheel weights - most shops don't attach the weights to the wheel where it is clipped on. They now glue them to the wheel on the back side. Though there is a tire ship in town that still uses the clip-on wheel weights.
