Chrysler Canada sold 24,406 vehicles in May 2011, a 17% increase over May 2010 -- and enough to make Chrysler Canada's #2 car company, year to date. Chrysler is the fastest-growing automaker in Canada for the second year in a row.

Records were set for May sales by the Ram (up 23% to 5,428) and Journey (up 48% to 2,812). Wrangler had an all-time record sales month of 1,918. Dodge also had two of the three Canadian best sellers, Grand Caravan (#2 with 24,433 sales year to date) and Ram pickup (#3 with 23,591 YTD sales). Journey remains Canada's best selling crossover.

Jeep Grand Cherokee sales nearly quadrupled in May, 2011 with 944 units sold, compared to the same period in 2010.

Car sales increased 12% for the month. Fiat 500, with 651 sales, nearly matched Chrysler 200, with 769 (Journey posted 2,812).
