According to Italiaspeed , Fiat now has a plan for the former Bertone factory which it acquired in 2009. The company plans to invest 500 million euros to convert it to make E-segment Maserati sedans, assumed to be based on the Chrysler Lx platform (Charger, Challenger, 300). Production is set to start by December 2012, with a maximum production of up to 50,000 cars per year; they may not all be Maseratis. This could relieve some of the pressure from the Canadian factory where Chrysler builds the Challenger, Charger, and 300, which was earlier thought to be the site of the Fiat-company-branded version of the large cars. (Thanks, Dan Minick, for the tip.)
