Reliable source JRS200x told us that the Chrysler 300/300C Executive model, first shown at the 2011 New York Auto Show , had been renamed to Luxury Series. It will be available in both V6 and V8 trim, starting at around $40,000 for the V6 and around $43,000 for the V8.

The V6 starts with the Limited and adds "platinum chrome treatment" on the door handles, mirrors, fascia accents, fog lamp surround, and front grille (a "seven blade" design). The car comes with 20 inch wheels and a sport mode/touring suspension, though the latter seems out of place. Inside, drivers get a two-tone leather steering wheel, Napa leather on the lower door armrest/bolster insert and console armrest, Poltrona Frau "Foligno" leather wrapped instrument panel, door uppers, and center console side panels, and 28-ounce floor mats. No mention is made about the matte wood finishes shown, though these are expected to be retained.

The 300C treatment is similar, but starts with the 300C rather than the 300 Limited, and includes an embroidered logo on the front seats.

Production for both starts in February 2012. See our Chrysler 300C Executive page .
