Good news, everyone! My project is ran for the first time today. It's got no interior (for now), but it's almost to the point where I can take it through emissions.

Anyway, I seem to have misplaced BOTH of my clutch cable retainers and the junkyard doesn't have a single standard transmission 2.2 or 2.5. And to boot, the parts store tells me they "don't have anything like that." I was looking through the factory service manual looking for an OEM part number, but I can't seem to find one. Does anyone have a part number I can cross reference?

Now that you suggest it, I believe my 94 Shadow and 90 Daytona had a similar system.

I only have the parts books for 92 and 93. The A523 clutch cable retainer is PN 5206245. It might fit. Arizona Parts has them for $10, says it fits 1979-94.

Now with this retainer, I still need the grommet as well, correct?

After forming a piece as a quick fix, getting the car through emissions, and insuring it, I found the original clip and grommet. Funny how that works, eh?
