Hello guys, I'm new to the site and I'm from Largo Florida. Sure this has been asked many times but I can't locate it. Currently shopping for a 46 to 50 Plymouth or Dodge coupe. If one is in good condition, how fast can one with the 217 flathead cruise safely. Around town is no problem but I'd like to travel to some shows and am concerned with modern traffic.

Welcome to Allpar from Lake Wales, FL. My wife was born in Largo and raised in Clearwater. I used to have a 48 Plymouth Special Deluxe and had no problem running 75 mph on the Interstate back in 1975 when I had it. I can't say what to expect on the interstates nowadays, but if you can travel 19 okay, then you can travel anywhere!
