Short story here, I replaced the upper control arms one a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder 2WD, had to unbolt and shift the lower steering column coupling to remove the rear arm bolt. I put the coupler back the way I found it, with the plastic rack spline and, 'DD' slip on yoke, exactly as before.
Now: the VTC light stays on, is there any reasonable chance that I may have damaged the steering angle sensor just behind the steering wheel since I had to manipulate the slip yoke back ont the upper column shaft. Scan tool told me about that sensor not working. I even tried to clear that code with the scanner, no dice.
