A new Dodge contest invites National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) race fans to “race“ in the simulator-based Drag Strip Showdown. The  four drivers with the best elapsed times will win trips to the Dodge//SRT Bondurant Drag Racing School.

The four winners will be paired with one of two Mopar/Dodge drivers — Top Fuel driver Leah Pritchett or Funny Car driver Matt Hagan — and be coached for the final competition, at the Bondurant school, in real 840-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demons. The industry’s only purpose-built, street-legal production drag car, the Demon remains the most powerful muscle car ever (though the new Redeye will come within 11 horsepower, on standard premium fuel).

The Drag Strip Showdown runs from Thursday, July 19 to November 11, 2018, at Dodge-sponsored NHRA races throughout the country, and at the August 11 “Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge” festival in Pontiac, Michigan; and the Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show in Las Vegas. A leaderboard at each event displays competitors’ times and ranks after their run; it will also be showcased on the Dodge Garage, which will show the top competitors. These are the places and dates for the competitions:

There is also a sweepstakes, which will let two more people be randomly selected to receive gift certificates to the Bondurant school at a date of their choosing.
