I thought this should go in the spy pic section, but felt it would get more exposure here. imo, i really like it and the color, but when i saw the rear end at first glance, although for some reason the first thing the popped into my head was concorde/lhs. I dont know how accurate these are, but since it's autoweek, I felt they were a good source, so without further ado, I give you the Dodge Challenger... :D B)

Thank you dfarc. If only we could make the days go faster. Are the decals(stripes) going on the cars on the assembly line or are the going to a custom shop for that? If it is off site that will delay the delivery.
I found this unbelievable post on another Chrysler forum. It can't be true!

"You heard it here first... 2008 SRT's with the 6.1 Auto... and 2009 SRT's with the 6.4 manual...

and that's it..... NO 2010 models...

Sorry to say it, but it is from a very reputable source...
I do not doubt the 6.4L will come along soon. I wonder if public records would reflect 6.6L emission testing? No 2010, that is nuts, to many $ spent to only build 50,000 cars.

Not Very Reliable. The 2009 SRT-8 pre-production vehicles the last couple days had 6.1L

Are the decals(stripes) going on the cars on the assembly line or are the going to a custom shop for that? If it is off site that will delay the delivery.... The ones I saw were on trim with prominent 6.1L badges on the hood. I heard the carbon fiber was going to be done in house, but would not bank on this since the Charger Daytona package is not done here. Also the ones I saw on whitetop had no carbon fiber stripes.
G
Carbon Fiber stripes are supposed to be only for SRT8's and the black for the rest
Highly unlikely that production for 2010 stop as said - too much invested and too strong a product , but time will tell and rumors shall change ;)
I want to see R/T billboard and/or bumblebee stripes with R/T cut-outs ..... a solid single hood stripe with also R/T cut-outs (cross my fingers)
Steve Saleen has announced that he will be modifying cars for the "high-end" of the diverse American Muscle Car and Global Supercar markets. The brand will be called SMS Limited.

It was also announced that his company will have turn-key tuned versions and performance parts available for the entire trio of modern American muscle cars coming onto the market in a couple years, including the Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, and Chevy Camaro.

TOTAL BS.
I must say that this car is the most exciting thing to happen in Mopar land since I became driving age. I missed the wave of muscle cars. The Viper and new Hemi cars have been great but this is going outside us Mopar lovers. I do thing the Challenger will explode in sales, after market parts, mods, customs and the like. I hope that dealers don't get too greedy and kill the wave. Dodge should send a dear dealer letter to them. There has already been evidence of greed on Ebay.

Who's the source? I can tell you how "reputable" they've been in the past. (They're blowing smoke on this one, but you already know that.)
3 - 2008 3/4 S2 Challengers down the line today, just to keep y'all updated!
S2, how many more steps before production? I just want to add these are some real good loking cars, even those is lesser trim.

Well this means the wait is almost over. That red is killer and the white SRT is far better than I would have thought. Put me down for the Classic R/T in B5.
Holy Shazbat!!!

A 3.92!! rear gear with the 6 speed stick and suregrip.

Stock SRT-8 Chargers are suppose to be running into the high 12s and they run a 3.06 gear and no LSD.

This Chally HAS GOT to be an easy mid 12 second or better, car OFF the showroom floor with the 6 Spd.

(BTW the G8 6.0ltr runs its mid 13s with a 2.92 rear gear).

Cant wait for the Camaro/Challenger Comparo test.

Insiders......Will their be an EXPORT program for this car????

The 2009 Challenger SE.
Is the 3.5l V-6 the H.0. version (it looks like it) ?
And will it have dual exhuasts (hope so) ?
Nardelli NAILED that speech and I am confident that with the right product and EXECUTION of that product..they will be successful!
The 2009 Challenger SE. And will it have dual exhuasts (hope so)?

http://www.allpar.com/cars/dodge/challenger.html Sounds like no but there is so much other good news there for R/T or SRT8 fense sitters!
