I am guessing that almost everyone knows The The Dodge Brothers are the reason that
dependable was added to the dictionary
My 1983 D150 had been sitting outside my house idle, and had not been started for over a year.
Until tonight.
I have two gear head friends who both drive shove me's, and we went out to get the truck started.
We pored gas in the carb, and I turned the key, and it fired right up as if I had driven it yesterday.
My two friends were extremely surprised, However I was not
I have been driving Dodge cars and trucks for 39 years, and this is one of the reasons among others.
I enjoy bragging on my Dodge, it is an important part of life

Make sure you fire it up and drive it more than once a year!
It's death on seals and bearings to sit that long.
Along those lines, my Dad's Power Wagon sat for 14 years before I fired it up and drove it!

When we bought our Demon to restore, it had sat for three years, untouched. The fuel smelled like sugar water. Jumped a good battery, turned the key, and when fuel got to the carb; Kaboom! Ran like a champ. You just can't kill a Mopar.
