I got my 82 rampage and I have to question the hood sag. When it's propped up it really does sag horribly. Now if I can just say "1980's American cost savings", then so be it, but is this normal? Having owned many 1980's American cars this is new to me.

If you're talking about the rod that holds the hood up... I don't know, but if you're talking about when the hood is down, the L body's should have adjustable hood dampers to compensate for that.

Mine was the same way, the side where the rod was sat much higher than the other side when it was open. There was a lot of flex in the hood.

Bear in mind the L Body was Chryslers first vehicle without hood springs in decades,it was a very contentious topic at the time. Our first attempt at an import fighter.

It's not so much a complaint, I just wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with my hood or a missing brace or something.
