Interesting experiment. They take their 2014 Chevy Spark EV and drive it until it dies. They get 70 miles from it, which is pretty good for a 7 year old EV battery.

Then, they load it onto a trailer behind an F-150 Powerboost and hook the on-board 7.2kwh generator to the car and charge the Chevy Spark while towing it home 71 miles.

The fuel economy of the F-150 dropped from 18 to 13 mpg with the towing and they added 27 miles of range to the Chevy Spark.

It is interesting, the point at the end where they are speculating how it would work with an EV that can take a higher charging rate gets you thinking.

Motorhome owners could charge their pull behind vehicle while driving from site to site.

If you own ATVs, you could charge them while driving to and from your campground.

Many possibilities
