Looks like the new Fast and Furious movie has a TON of Mopars and a few Alfas to boot.. The Super Bowl commercial showed a lot of action and a ton of Mopars including that Maroon Daytona or Superbird.

Sorry for the double post.. Im on my phone could someone delete the other one..

I'm pretty sure it was a Daytona 500 Charger, the taillights were defiantly not those of a 70 B body, or were custom. But very certain it was a Daytona. Also the Alfa was a Giulietta right? It looked too big and different to be a MiTo to me. Too bad it wasn't a sneak peak at the new 4C or the Giulia sedan :( But oh well, guess we'll have to wait longer.

There are definitely some cool cars in there a Mk1 Escort, Jensen interceptor, Ferrari Enzo, ect..... the Alfa MiTo taking down the C5 thenthe Charger blowing out the front was my favorite part

I had a feeling Letty would be back after the mid-credits "Tease" during Fast Five.

Glad to see Mopar being well represented again...the end of Fast Five was pretty much a Dodge Commercial (and it was glorious!).

Dodge's role in the movies is, I'd say a good thing, regardless of how good (or not good) anyone may feel the movies are.. The original may have been big with the tuner crowd and what not, but it ended up being a bit of a fad on some level, at least that flavor of it. Once you get to the 4th movie, the emphasis seems to have shifted away from "riced" cars, and more towards just fast cars and what not. In either case, out of the mainstream brands, Dodge is arguably the only "manly sporty brand" left. While they certainly have a couple cars with out that image, the Charger, Challenger, Durango, and even Avenger all sort of have that persona (deserved or not). Beauty is, the movie makers are already responsible for making the cars look good, so I'd say it probably works to up the "cool" factor.

Its a Charger and hopefully just a Charger playing dress up. In these films things don't end well for the cars.
They made a Suped Up 70 GTX. They used a real GTX for the movie. However for the wreck, they found a 318 Satellite, made it up to look just like the GTX and wrecked it. They usually don't wreck the real cars they use for the movie, or at least use doubles. But that doesn't mean they don't sustain some damage.

The "Hero" car is the really nice detailed car used in close ups, etc. They often do survive pretty well the others not so much.

Glad Mopar vehicles get the exposure in the movies, but I can't stand this series of movies. You couldn't pay me to sit through that.

Miss the days of real car stunts by real stunt drivers, just not feeling any love for ridiculous stunts performed by computer programs.

Now this is a car stunt...

Glad to see the Mopars on the big screen but hate these movies.
They convinced a generation that a vtec sticker, NOS, fart can and a carbon
fiber hood would make any honduh a 9 second strip and street terror.

You would not believe how many of my classmates in high school and college fell for that nonsense. :frusty: Now that I think about it though, Dodge was always in every Fast & Furious movie.

The Fast and the Furious: Dom's Charger
2Fast2Furious: Roman's Dodge Challenger
Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift: QB's Dodge Viper
Fast & Furious: Dom's Charger
Fast Five: Dom's, Han's, Roman's, Brian's Dodge Charger

Can't believe I realized it until now... :frusty:

There was also a yellow Viper convertable in 2 Fast, but that wasn't a main vehicle, it was driven as one of the "background" vehilces when they were racing to get the stuff out of that guys Ferrari.

I've seen all of them on TV, they play them rather often and I ususally do something more productive while I have a movie on. Either way I've seen a lot of movies, good and bad. How intently I watched those is of varying degrees.
