Fast Five Dodge Chargers

fast-five.jpg

The Dodge Charger has been in every Fast and Furious movie, albeit in different forms; in the first, a true vintage Charger made its appearance, not racing until the end, and even then having a hard time keeping up with a modern car (albeit running "clean" versus being nitrous-boosted). A crash seems to total the Charger, but it made its way back to other movies.

With Fast Five, Dodge is taking charge with a matte-painted 2012 Dodge Charger R/T, seen extensively in the movie but also reproduced as a specialty car. The one in the movie was on display at the New York Auto Show lobby; another was shown in the Dodge area with a sign missing only the retail price.

This version included the full R/T Road & Track option packages, adding to it matte charcoal paint, gloss-black 20" aluminum wheels, milled-aluminum fender badges (see insert above), Katzkin leather seats with Fast Five logos, bright pedals from the Mopar people, and turned aluminum interior bezels. It also includes a 506-watt amp and nine amplified speakers with subwoofer.
