The Ram problem sounds like a problem with the electronic power steering assist (which is used in a lot more FCA products than just Ram).
JL/JT have problems far beyond the power steering boost (though I occasionally get a "nothcy" feeling like when the PS boost seems to change. Or the steering wheel pulses slightly while sitting at idle with the wheels turned slightly.
Correct. But I have seen many posts of JL owners who lost all electrical power due to the faulty dual battery setup, leaving them without steering assist while the vehicle was in motion.

Given that JL switched to electric assisted steering, and how prone Jeep batteries/charging system are to fail, it would seem FCA ought to have put more safety redundancies.

This has been happening to brand new JLs. I have to imagine as JLs age, the risk of electrical system failure grows, and losing electric steering assist while the vehicle is in motion only goes up.

Tic toc, tic toc...

Losing power steering while towing has got to be scary.

IMO, it’s only a matter of time until NHTSA opens an investigation on JL’s steering as well.

Apparently, FCA don’t know how to do steering...

I wonder if Tavares knew the ticking package he was getting with FCA.
