Fit and finish on wagoneers

Well here we go again!
The LIFT GATE on all units built are having a bad fit and finish, they all are misaligned the gaps are uneven and they simply don't match with tail lamps and other panels, shame on the managers, Shame in Stellantis "quality" .
The vehicle is new and very expensive, it should have the very best quality. We noticed that problem long ago, they just said as always they are going to fix it, but it never happened.
I'm Disappointed 😞☹

Here we go again. Let's see if the crack management team will fix this. The GW is not a vehicle you want misaligned parts on. There shouldn't be on any vehicle for that matter. Doesn't anybody look at these before being pushed out the door?

It could be a defect in the hatch. A worker can only do so much. Perform miracles isn't one of them.

While it's not uncommon to have "teething" issues on new models, these should be kept at the plant and out of dealers hands until they are fixed. My fear is the crack management teams past history of it's good enough and ship it mentality.

As far removed as top management can be, they/he might not even be aware of it. Of course surprise visits to the plants can have big benefits as well.

Sadly, if it is a misaligned stamping issue, this should've been fixed or detected months or possibly a year or longer ago.

so you want to P-off Customers that have been waiting since March for their orders on Models thats been already tough to build because of the Chip shortage?
If I plopped down a 100k and received a hatch that looked like that one in the picture I'd be way more P-off.

In most businesses profit and shareholder value is placed above everything. Nothing wrong with profits, but cutting corners everywhere and squeezing every last ounce out of the company leads to things far worse in the long run. But American companies only plan on short term ideas, nothing long term, unlike the Japanese, but even they have been bit by that thinking to some extent. Probably because their American subsidiaries keep pushing it.

My first new vehicle was a 79 W-150 built at Warren. I had it a year and noticed a bubble in the paint on the right bedside. I was washing it at the carwash and blew the paint right off of it. Turns out the metal underneath wasn't prepped right and was rusty. I had two Ramchargers from there, an 80 and 84. They weren't bad.
I would think the 30k Ram would benefit from all the plant upgrades, especially the paint jobs.

Here are my exhibits of build quality on a $102k MSRP Grand Wagoneer. The garage door picture is showing the distortion caused by the windshield. On a positive note, my rear hatch/taillights are aligned!

So, if I may, why did you take delivery of it if these were that evident? I wouldn't if it was only 25k. If it's new it better be as close to perfect as possible. That dash alignment is terrible.

Yes I could have done a better job on the initial look over. None of it was apparent at 7pm in the dark when I took delivery and looked it over with the vehicle being black on black.
Well, I understand. It will make me get my microscope out when I get my GC L. I hope the company makes yours correct.

so wagoneer client services reached out to me preemptively on the windshield distortion issue and I now have a case number to work through them and the dealer, a positive sign but we’ll see if it amounts to anything. Dropped the GW off for service at the dealer to address the quality issues and the recall this morning, hopefully they will make everything right.

update

Ok, for what itsworth my dealership/Jeep are making everything right. They noticed my windshield issue was found on every other one they had on their lot and are buying replacements for all of them. They have a new steering wheel on order which they are forking over $1400 for according to them. The dash/pillar gap was due to a rushed Kahu/lojack install and they got everything fitted back properly. Also scheduling an upholstery fix for the tear in the back of the passenger seat. Radio static fix should hopefully be coming in an OTA update via Uconnect next week, and they are also addressing the trim misalignment on the roof. The parts/service manager walked through the vehicle with me and vowed they will do everything to make this vehicle right, and left me with a very good impression. Hope everyone else's issues get addressed with the same attention.
I would also say that whatever person or persons that are inspecting these on the line must need new glasses.

While I'm not condoning the issue, Warren hasn't built an SUV since 1985 when the Ramcharger was discontinued there.
Everything, you should see the amount of people from that factory that are high or drunk before their shift
So, do you have first hand knowledge of this? Or is this a friend of a friend of a friend kind of knowledge?
So in others words, not firsthand knowledge. Just a blanket coat of everyone is either stoned or drunk.

But wasn't that a few years ago? And people were fired, right? So he's saying this is still going on?

I looked at two yesterday at the dealer. They both were fine.
Was at my dealership today and they have a black Wagoneer sitting in the showroom. It looks fine. Hatch is lined up perfect. Now for the real sad news. Customer ordered a Grand back in November. It came in recently, but has the panoramic sunroof. It got shattered in transit. None are available. Customer thinks the dealer can just order one. The guy at the dealer says at least 6 months to get one. I'm glad I'm not that guy.
