Fuel gauge i flat down. Now i wonder what make these gauges work.

Is it the electrical "stuff" behind dash ? If there is a melted line, that might be a big issue then?

Or can i possibly install an external gauge,- using the wires that come from fuel-pump?

Opinions?

If it is only the fuel gauge that doesn't work, it's probably not the ignition circuit. But it could still be the gauge, the wiring to the dash, the Body Control Module or its connections, the fuel sending unit at the tank or the connector to it.

The body control module, or logic module, is behind the passenger kickpad. The fuel gauge signal on most Daytonas goes to the module, and from there to the dash gauge.
