fuel pump hanger assembly with return line (two ports)

Got a 85 Laser turbo owned since 1986, need to replace fuel pump. Can't locate any assemblies like original (two ports, supply and return). Anyone know if these still exist? I'm starting to think the answer is no. Shame, because it seems it would be easy, as the single port still have the steel line there (seems to be only used for structure). Anyone try to drill out the top and tap in another port somehow? Of course, I can re-assemble the pump only if I am forced to re-use the old parts. Thanks in advance.

It looks like you can rebuild the pump with new parts.

It's been years since I looked at one, but I know they switched from having the return in the sending unit to having it in the pump. The newer sending units had a suction port.

I included a picture of my car to explain myself better. All hanger assemblies I can see to purchase only have one line going into pump. I have 2, I assume one is pressure and other return. Why does the fuel sender have another line, and it's capped off? What if I just use that to run my return fuel back to the tank? Or was that used for fuel vapor or for california cars or others?

The pump has supply 5/16" diameter) and return (1/4" diameter) lines connected to it, and the sending unit has a capped-off siphon port. The rollover valve on top of the tank connects to the vapor canister up front via a 1/4" line. Don't cross this with the return line. You should not change the orientation of these connections.

The evaporative (vapor) valve is at the tank top. Be very careful handling the plastic nipple, they are brittle & break off easily.

This doesn't match what you have. Perhaps someone replaced this pump with the wrong one?
