My mechanic says the 2nd gear plates are damaged cuz you can use a pry bar and slightly move the CV axle about 1/8 inch while it is still connected to the tranny. All shifting is fine, but I'm leaking about half a quart of fluid every 1000 miles. Maybe a little more.
This doesnt sound or look right.
Why not just replace the tranny seal and see what happens. The CV has to have some play in it -right?
