I am in Forest City NC, I have been in the wholesale car business most of my life but now over 70 I am just barely in any kind of biz:) No praise the Lord we are doing as well as can be expected.

I have a 2002 Ram 1500 4x4 Automatic with a 5.9, it has a thump on the last down shift. Any ideas of what all this could be. Thanks, Gary

2-1 bump-stop? If you have a capable scan tool to watch the tracking of the 46RE electronic governor & solenoid, it should stay around a 1 psi per 1 mph ratio as you speed up & slow down. I've had the sensor hang up & the pressure stays high as you come to a stop Both displayed speed & pressure should be zero at a stop.

This would be contingent on overall transmission health. If there is internal leakage issues due to wear, this would also have to be addressed.

Target should match or be very close to Actual.
