Probably the clutch fork did come off the bearing. It's a cable clutch, no hydraulics. I'll bet they gave you the wrong bearing.

A body shop did a clutch replacement for me - the owner is a trusted friend, but his mechanic was subpar. The new throwout bearing made a chattering noise on the first 20 seconds or so after a cold start. He admitted, after they pulled it again and replaced it, that when hoisting the transmission up, a helper lifted it by the clutch lever and the bearing shot out, and may have been damaged. After they put the second new one in, it was fine.
