I've never done it on that model car, but have removed many hoods in my day. I mark the position with soapstone and with a helper, remove the bolts and just lift it off. Is there something special about the setup on this car?
Don't forget to unplug any wiring, such as underhood light. And if it has washer fluid going to it, disconnect the tubing. Other than that, scribe where the bolts line up, so you can reinstall it the same way.
? more things to scratch trying to put the hood on a newly painted car. you have to cover the windows and top anyhow.
I would leave it on the car.
