There isn't a lot I don't like about it, aside from that it's very obviously an Alfa with Dodge parts. The biggest gripe I have is that they keep taking low shots of it and expecting it to look as good as a charger.

To me it looks incredibly awkward with so much ground clearance. So -- I eliminated it.

The problem is they tried to market it as a modern performance car to get excited about to a group of people who are actually losing the most exciting car Dodge has ever produced.

Let’s be honest no one is going to get excited about yet another Compact Utility Vehicle (cute yute).
Yes and no - The most exciting car Dodge has ever produced doesn't sport a Hellcat. lol - It sported a v10. Everyone loves the Viper, just not everyone can drive one.

This thing doesn't "replace" anything. The closest thing is the maligned, minivan-based Journey that is pretty universally panned. There hasn't been a Dodge in this space since the Caliber, and that was barely more than a fastback Jeep.

The hellcats are probably gonna stick around a minute as top tier. I think like Jeep, they're creating a lineup with EV options. The only Jeep that's 100% EV is the upcoming Recon (in the US)

Agreed...sort of. Just like how were they supposed to sell the Stage 1 and 2 kits for the Avenger when it rolled out or the SRT version of the Dart that never made it. You have to sell a vehicle to somebody before you can upsell the accessories right?? FCA/Chrysler Corp/whoever has this nasty habit of showing you the cool things they can make to get you to buy the economy version of a vehicle only to yank the rug out from under you a few years later!!!
Unless it's for a Wrangler.*

Has anyone here in the forums, driven one or even seen the Hornet up close?
Its so amazing that the Hornet is being trashed without even a test drive.
Whats up with that?
You haven't been here long enough to have heard us trash a car we don't like, lol.

This is merely a commentary on its stance, visually & the choices of Dodge's Photography.

Will the advertising properly place the Hornet or will it be a repeat of Dart’s errors in advertising?
Honestly I hate the advertising. I think it's repeating Caliber and Dart mistakes. Trying to be funny and it's just not really working? And that piss yellow is just not a pretty color on that body.

That's actually a tri-coat, and I see what they were going for with hornets usually lumped into "yellow" like bees. But it's a featured and premium color option so it was going to make it into the commercial.

Personally I prefer the Blue Bayou though. And the only part of the promo video worth airing is the last 30 seconds.
I get what they were going for but they should have at least given them stripes or something to offset the gold. If they weren't going for the weird newsreel thing, it would have been better. They are too late to be going after the murder hornet cache. Jmo.
