Hello All!

Back working on the 97 Grand Caravan 3.0 3 spd automatic.

Getting ready to run pressure tests on the transmission. In my factory service manual it says for one of the tests to operate the engine at 1000 rpm. For another it says 1600 rpm.

My question is what do you do to set the rpms for these values?

I have an old Sun Model 7601 dwell/tach. It has only a red and a black lead. The instructions say to hook the red lead up to negative primary terminal of the coil and the black to a good ground. This engines coil looks completely different than the diagram in the Sun's instruction manual. Is it possible to use this tach with this engine? If so, how?

Thanks for reading!
Danny
