I think their title is a bit misleading as is is a 426 Wedge, not a 426 Hemi as the link's title implies. Still an incredibly cool truck that had little chance of hooking up on those skinny, rock hard bias ply tires!Ram performance.

Hemi-Powered 1964 Dodge D-100 Custom Sports Special Was a Rebel
In 1964, Dodge attempted to upend the pickup-truck status quo by introducing a hemi-powered model of the Dodge D-100.www.motortrend.com
Motor Trend apparently doesn't realize there was a 426 Wedge engine for a few years, see my prior post and link for history.I think their title is a bit misleading as is is a 426 Wedge, not a 426 Hemi as the link's title implies. A buddy of mine who worked at the Tech Center with me had a 65 Satellite with the Street Wedge 426........................365 HP.It was not the max version. Single 4bbl and 10.3 compression. Still it was strong.
I used to drive a 62 Savoy max wedge 413. Came from factory with cast headers down to three inch caps just behind the front wheel and duals to the back. Two AFB Carter's on a log ram in a very light body.A buddy of mine who worked at the Tech Center with me had a 65 Satellite with the Street Wedge 426........................365 HP.
