Hello, this is my first thread and I'm wondering if the Chrysler LA (LX PLatform) is an updated platform for the 2015-present Dodge Challenger? I know that 2008-2014 Chally used the LC.

When Chrysler upgraded the cars in 2011, the roles of the 300 and Charger actually reversed. The LX 300 now uses the LD Charger architecture. In 2015, the Challenger was also upgraded.

The LD Charger marked a nearly complete deparature from anything they were using or synergizing from MB.

Lest anyone forget, these cars have nothing whatsoever to do with the Mercedes E Class. They were developed as the next-generation LH cars, prior to the Daimler takeover.

Alright thanks, yeah it really bothers me when people say it's a modified E-Class chassis when it was not

The only people that say that are folks listening to old episodes of Top Gear aired toward the end of the Daimler days.

Believe it or not, the usually accurate Car and Driver rag still insists they're all LX cars with Daimler DNA.

It’s funny. If there was a transfer of technology, it was Chrysler teaching Daimler how to build a proper SUV, and how to build a proper front-mid engine GT car more than it was Daimler teaching Chrysler anything.
