Jeep Patriot EV: electric crossover?

During its post-Cerberus, pre-Fiat era, Chrysler produced the Jeep Patriot EV concept car; it had a claimed 400 mile driving range (with 40 miles on batteries, and the rest with a "range extender" gasoline engine). The claimed 0-60 mph time was around 8 seconds.

The front fascia was separate and body-colored, to help set the grille apart. Unique wheels gave the Jeep Patriot EV a wide stancer; the interior used elements from the refreshed 2009 Jeep Patriot.

A similar paint scheme and electrification project was later used on a Jeep Wrangler, dubbed the "Jeep eV" (below).

The Jeep Patriot EV and Jeep EV both used an electric-drive motor, lithium-ion batteries, and a small gasoline engine with an electric generator to extend the range when needed.

The Patriot EV was front-wheel drive, with a 150 kW (200 hp) motor and regenerative braking, continuous electric power was rated at 45 kW (60 hp). Tires were P245 / 45R20. The quarter mile time was quoted as "low 16s" with a top speed over 100 mph.
