Following last year's fall of nearly 50% in sales, Jeep sales in Australia have fallen a further 35% in the first half of 2017 compared with the first half of 2016. Just 4565 new Jeeps were registered so far this year.
The only bright prospects in the immediate future are the start of right hand drive new Compass in India (which will provide the new model to Australia, and the coming release of the new model Wrangler in 2018.
Chrysler 300 sales are averaging less than 30 a month and there are currently no new Dodges for sale here. A handful of RAM HD models are privately imported and converted to right hand drive.
Sales of Alfa Romeo have increased since the release of the Giulia, and the Stelvio, due for release next year, should be strong in our SUV/crossover obsessed market. Fiat 500 and 500X trickle out of delerships and are rarely sighted.
