The Jeep Wrangler Slim is another weight-reduction model, possibly the result of Jeep designers thinking about the next generation and balancing gas mileage with capability; keeping the same engine results in higher performance.

The Rock Lobster color exterior of the two-door Jeep Wrangler Slim features full doors, a hard top, and a 3:73 anti-spin axle. Rolling on prototype 17-inch Jeep Performance Parts forged beadlock wheels with Rock Lobster beauty rings, the Jeep Wrangler Slim uses the 10th Anniversary Rubicon front bumper and the lightest-weight Mopar rear bumper.

The Jeep Wrangler Slim sports lightweight rock rails, black grille, black hood decal, LED headlights, locking gas cap and Rubicon tires. The black interior has leather seat covers and a CB radio, with Mopar all-weather slush mats and a hard-top headliner.

Jeep Slim uses a prototype Mopar 2-inch lift kit, and a Mopar cold-air intake.

More to come...

Concept cars are often made so a car's feel can be evaluated, problems can be foreseen, and reactions of the public can be judged. Some concepts test specific ideas, colors, controls, or materials - either subtle or out of proportion, to hide what's being tested. Some are created to help designers think "out of the box." The Challenger, Prowler, PT Cruiser, and Viper were all tested as production-based concepts dressed up to hide the production intent.
