Vandiver's cars were quite competitive for a few years back in the early 70s. IIRC, he and his brother bought a lot of stuff from Ray Fox to start their team. Later the Vandivers sold most of their stuff to a name you still hear mentioned occasionally by the "old timers" during Nascar broadcasts - Harry Ranier.
