Hi,

Neither the driver's and passenger seat will lock in the upright position. They just flip forwards with minimal effort. It seems like something is missing in the seat pivot point.

I've attached a few pics and I'm hoping someone can explain how it should work or has an illustration of the mechanism?

Many thanks!

The parts catalog mentions inertia latches. The seatback should not tip forward during braking.

Same with my Daytonas. There is no release lever because there is only an inertial latch. Made me wonder when I first got mine.

The 'inertia' mechanism is also used to lock the shoulder belts when acted upon by a 'g'-force. It's basically a pendulum weight that swings & latches the mechanism.
