A plant that supplied Ford, GM, Stellantis, Toyota and others with aluminum alloy wheels exploded late Friday. Metal fire creates unique challenges.

none of my metal working tools have dust collection cause of this issue. i work Ti and steel mostly and have heard of way to many knife makers loosing their whole workshop. i think there are some workarounds now days for small systems but im just not taking the chance.

When we fired the old cannon 'Roaring Meg' at the re-enactments, we would add steel wool for a theatrical muzzle flare.

You can't douse or smother a Magnesium fire. The A-412 VW transaxle case used in the early Omni-Horizons was made of this metal.
