"Meet Ralph Gilles, President and Chief Executive Officer - SRT Brand and Motorsports, Chrysler Group LLC and Senior Vice President - Product Design, Chrysler Group LLC on Friday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. at The Petersen Automotive Museum. He will be interviewed about Chrysler design by MotoMan Host, Geogre Notaras during a live streamed interview on Inside the MotoMan Studio. The event starts with an all-Mopar cruise-in at 5:00 p.m. in the museum’s parking structure. Show up in a classic or special interest Chrysler Group vehicle and get free parking!”

Here’s a link to the museum’s page on the event (note apparent error reading "June26" in text--verify with Museum just to be triple-sure):

UH, as much as I'd like to go, that was LAST week... ;)

The headline says JULY 26, the article says JUNE, I'll investigate.

Subject to verifying next week, when museum staff offices open, I'm calling this confusion: "More from GM Sabotage Dept." Heh, heh, heh. Such museum events usually not conducted on Wednesday nights (like June26); Friday nights (like July 26) more likely.

OIIIIIIIO, 0IIIIIII0, oIIIIIIIo.

Unfortunately, if it is on the 26th of July, I have another event that I'm attending, but we have a plethora of qualified LA Area Allparians that could attend and report upon this event.

Good to know we have back-ups, Norm! 'Sorry you can't go.

I also just noticed that they apparently misspelled George Notaras' name, too. Maybe too much caffeine, or not enough, that day in a cubicle at the museum?
Or they were telecommuting/typing/driving and got cut off by a Prius?

Nope; old old address was San Diego; then Arizona for about 6mos; now Georgia.. and will change again here in a few months. His mom wants to play musical houses between us & his sibling (that lives on another property). Still gonna be Georgia though. It's not a question of distance, as it is a lack of income when it comes to the road-trip. lol -- if i had the $, we'd be going to SEMA too; but alas, I do not have a steady enough income for that.. Jace does great on road-trips. I would know; 3 consecutive trips back and forth between az & ga. 51mpg peak. He does just fine. ;)

in other news; got a hell of a light show goin on right now.. lightning storm.

51 mpg, wow; somebody was usin speed control feature, or as we were taught in my younger days, "pressing the throttle as though it was an eggshell one did not want to break"!

About that storm, as they used to say, "Don't touch the phone [or a wire-connected computer?] during an electrical storm!"

Big Bear---fantastic area for legal off-road trails--sounds very appropriate place to unveil new race Jeep!

From my old offroad motorcycling days I opine that--for SoCal, the Greater Big Bear area is rivalled only by the Greater Hungry Valley area, which is has single-track where no 4-wheeled vehicle can legally go, and many of those trails are where no 4-wheeler can fit!
But the right Jeep makes a great tow vehicle for a motorcyle trailer that has been "off-roadized"!

primarily cruise; but I was only going 60mph in 6th behind the moving truck & trailer (not close enough to draft) over the flat land of texas. Got like 740-somethin miles on that tank..

You're welcome. Glad that I'm close by enough to provide these photos.

Interestingly, 'just noticed that on today's LA Times print page AA1, an obit-type story on just-passed-away actor Dennis Farina pictures him outside the Mint casino in Vegas in the NBC show "Crime Story" (1986-88), leaning on a '57 Chrysler 300 (?) that looks very similar to the car in the Petersen---but a magnifying-glass exam of that photo reveals different license plate characters, and memory tells me that Times photo's plate would be the more historically-applicable(?) California orange-yellow color with black characters...so is the plate just different, or the car?
