Moparized 2010 Dodge Challenger

The Dodge Challenger appearance package was now sold as a 2010 factory option, including a body-color hood scoop, rear "Go-Wing" spoiler, and strobe-light graphics. A separate, optional interior appearance package includes a T-handle shifter, bright pedal kit (automatic only), bright door-sill guards, special carpet mats, and a vehicle cover. The list price for the exterior package at launch was $1,995; for the interior, $945 for the automatic transmission models and $780 for the manuals. The packages are available only on SE and R/T cars in ToRed, Silver Metallic, Black, and White.

Mike V. wrote: "The hood scope is proportionally shorter (smaller) than the original T/A scoop, the size is perfect for the car since the hood is shorter than the original. It is very retro, in black, it really looks a lot like the original. It is not functional... However, early ones shown at SEMA and other events a year ago were. The insert can be removed with 4 screws. I'm sure someone or Mopar will come out with a kit to make it functional. Cervini's has a kit that directs air from the stock scoops over to the intake. Anything is possible."

He added: "Cervini's, Mr Norm's, Suncoast, Classic Designs Concepts, and Danko all make shaker kits for the Challenger. Each is a little different. The Cervini's has the correct hood shape with a bubble that is a little more modern shaped. Mr Norm's has the correct hood shape and utilizes an original shaped bubble. Danko uses a flat hood like a 'Cuda with an original style bubble. Suncoast has a correct style hood with a bubble similar to the original but smaller, it also ducts air through the hood which is different. Classic Design Concepts is funky looking to me, they have a kit to use it with the stock hood (really strange looking to me) or a flat hood (has body lines) with a hole in it. CDC is the only vendor that uses an a steel bubble, the rest are composite. The Mopar hood is aluminum with a composite scoop."

"MoparJoe" said he believed the hood scoops would eventually be functional (he'd predicted by 2011 but later said there was a delay). He also said a new upgrade would be available soon through Mopar dealers - a Katzkin leather interior for the Challenger. See Joe's video!
