Would this 'update' be of interest to the readers of this forum who own a Ram or the technicians that service them? Is it a safety concern?
Is it something that you could share with us?

It has to do with the cap less fuel filler and dirt and water collecting inside of it. When a customer fills their tank that dirt and any water will be introduced into the fuel system. Diesel and water do not mix and the idea of a cap less tank without a latch to hold the fuel door tight against the seal is not a smart move. It is my understanding that they are now aware of this and working on a fix. Why did it even get implemented in the first place?

If i could figure out how to post a pic I would show you just how much dirt i found in a truck I was looking at.

I'm confused? What do you mean by "cap less" fuel filler, system?
All fuel, systems must be sealed tight to meet emissions???

Not "filter" but "FILLER" as in where you put the fuel pump nozzle to fill you tank. The new 2013 Rams, 300, Charger and Challenger do not have a gas cap. They do have a seal around the filler door and the cars have a latch to hold the door tightly closed. Seems like someone at Ram forgot to add the latch on the trucks and the door is not held closed. Not a smart way to launch a new product IMO.

Sorry! It was the stupid auto-correct, I did write filler.
