I have found some in UAE, china and japan...the 3.0 SOHC is 20 tooth, has that cast in 'back' you see which aligns the belt. If you count the tooth mostly above the keyway, the TDC mark is tooth 9. I have mine...problem is its softer metal and that back thingie cracks off REAL EASY when using a screwdriver to start prying. it was rusted on fairly heartily so I know the crank seal has never been off hence it leaked the most.

Im forked if someone does not have a pile of them in the US...$50.20 from the UAE. I stayed up until 2am last night searching lol. the part number MD100568 (forever burned into my head as trivia) matches the original mopar number as do the pics.

the newer version with a detachable back that looks like a food processor blade is for a crank sensor in newer models. easier to get, but it appears it is 24 tooth so some other stuff changed.

This should be a part that can be found used. Now finding it might be a challenge since many 3.0 vehicles are probably already crushed in the yards..

good news, write this one down....the Mopar part of MD100568 is righteous and crosses to Mitsu. The part is still made cuz the 3.0 SOHC was used in about anything Mitsu and something called the 'Pajero' was really popular outside the US and the Montero inside.

Random google this am and I get a Mitsu dealer in Deland Florida who HAS IT. not only did he have it, he has 10 in their warehouse. $60 and $5 shipping, but its coming from THIS country. no 'international delays'.
If I am allowed to post a number the dealer is 844 949 1272. They DBA on the web as 'mitsubishipartswarehouse.com'

I did find some people who had the cam 'gears' from a 92 caravan on ebay...no crank gear tho. problem is I think: its open down there and it rusts badly to the crank. the 'if you are lucky the gear will pull off with gentle pressure' in the book dont work. and when you drive in the screwdrivers....

It has to come off to do the crank front seal which is the leakiest thing known to man...I put a request out on the boneyard searches - but engine parts like this never get pulled.
