Dodge needs to keep the Avenger name. It has been around for a while now, and it has some good recognition.
That, and there is "Avengerstm" on everything, in every toy department. The name Avenger gets so much free name association it's silly to even think about. The individual who surrenders that name should be tied in a straight jacket, and placed in the rubber room. Keeping Avenger, is kind of like getting away with naming a car the Batmobile.
The SRT version? I still like Javelin/AMX. Heck, the "SRT Avenger" has a very cool ring to it, too. With a name like SRT Avenger, I can't help but think you'd have a lot to live up to. I could see a red, white and blue schemed, edition, even. The name SRT Javelin, is very nice, too. I really like it. Plus, it was a pony, and this will be a pony. I just hate that a budget (roadrunneresque) version, likely, wouldn't be available, as it would be an SRT product.
Demon will likely never grace the name of another Mopar in our lifetimes. There are too many morons who would picket CJDR dealers. Probably the friends of the people that are pursuing the GC gas tanks that fail, when they are hit from behind by battleships, or freight trains.
I do like the name Demon for a special edition of an Abarth, "introducing, the Abarth Demon, with the 400+hp Maser/Ferrari V6". I'd buy that one, as long as it came with a robust life insurance policy.
