I had just replaced the exhaust system on my Spirit. The new AP muffler did not have the small hole in the rear plate for moisture to weep out. Is there any benefit to drilling a small hole in the rear bottom plate of the new muffler?
I would drill one in the lowest part of the muffler. It will help get rid of some of the moisture that builds up on short trips, when the exhaust doesn't get hot enough for a long enough period to dry it out.
