Hi there,

I ordered an OEM PCM and had it flashed with the new updates, VIN, and mileage. The reason was for the P0601 code on my 00 PT 2.0 auto. The PCM arrived but the paper stated 2.4 but the VIN is correct. After I plug in, the new ECM immediately displayed the P1495 code. The P0601 is gone with the new ECM, but now I have the P1495 code and would not start :scared:
With my old PCM, it could start and run no problem but with desk light on and P0601 code.

I re-installed my old ECM and no longer get the P1495 code, but the P0601 code is there.

I was checking to see if any of you have ran into this with an ECM/PCM replacement. Do you think that the new ECM was sent defective or 2.4 is a problem...?

someone tells me to Swap the two outer wires on coil connector or swap spark plug wire #1 with # 2, and #3 with #4. Do you think is a good idea and would this bad for the Engine?

P.s I am having this car in Hong Kong. There is only 8 in Hong Kong so I could not get much help here.
I order the PCM from USA and it seem I have to send back to them for resend but they stated the pcm was programmed the unit of my vin# and part number I hope they will take the shipping cost as it cost around $100 in one way.

Thanks and your suggestion is highly appreciate!

Thank you for the welcoming.

I took a picture of the diagram label. http://www.imagebam.com/image/986223233633720][IMG]
You are correct that I do not see there is LDP. Pls correct me if I am wrong

The guy who suggest to swap the wires stated that it is so popular people build aftermarket pieces for this specific swap.
They suggest using 21 (or 24 lb?) injectors instead of 2.0's 19lb when they swap. In here, I have no idea here.

The part # on my PCM is P05033117AD
S/N T64EH23801LSPH
My VIN# is 1C8FZBB931T538407

Hope you could give me suggestion. Many Thanks

Thanks Crown for the great help, This is what I worry of how long the car may have problem. I have talk with the OEM PCM company with a very good reply from them. They would send another computer to me as they think it may be the ex-ray during shipping. I will keep you post. Many Thanks

I agreed with you that the x ray will not harm the pcm. However, I think the OEM PCM company do know.
Otherwise they will not send another one to me. I am cross my fringer this time will work out.
Yes it is equipped with the Immobilizer but i think it is a factory one only.
Since this is a 2nd hand car where we bought this in 2 months ago.

Crown, Thanks for the infor. Yes it is a Gray body key and the remote control in black color. There are only 2 button on the remote which is lock and unlock. (no picnic botton)
Press one time to open the driver door and the 2nd time to open all door.
Unfortunely there is no offical dealer in Hong Kong. I have this as used.
The OEM PCM company is ready to send out the PCM for me without cost and I will take the delivery cost.
I would guess the recall has fixed (hope!) as this is a 2001 car but I will try to write an email to Chrysler at the state to see their record.
I hope all is ok. Many thanks. I will keep post

Oh no.. More and more problem it seems. I downloaded owner manual of 03 PT, since when It was not come with the owner manual when we bought the used PT. The engine would not stop in 2-3sec due to Immobilizer system if non progamme key used. However, my situation with the oem pcm is the engine not start at all. I am not sure, really not sure... I hope I have my PT in the state.
By the way, if this really come into a problem. Anyone know how to bypass the Immobilizer system?
At the meantime, I just sent an email to Chrysler and reported my situation for support. I hope they can give me some positive reply.

Thanks for all the information. I been contact some of the past buyer who do business with the OEM PCM company and they told me the VIN progam will cover the immobilizer issues and it is just a plug and play. I hope this is also for me. I am now in arranging for the pick up of the pcm with my express company. I will keep everyone post of my status.

At the meantime, I have email to Chrysler regarding the recall record as well. I hope they will give me a reply soon.
In regarding the fuel pump issues, will I be able to inspect by myself with little knowledge to see does it still have a problem?

Chuzz, Thanks for the message. I have now no Eng. light, P0601 code & P1495 code so I think the new oem pcm is good.
if you want to know the place where i get it pls let me know.

BTW, are you an elect., do you know where and how to test which abs sensor are fail? If yes, may you tell us where is the location to check? I found on net people could test the fail with Ohms meter but i have no circuit diagram and knowing the location of the abs control box location.
