If it doesn't become just another class overwhelmed with Generic Merchandise (GM), it could be interesting.
It'll probably turn out that way. I have a sneaky suspicion that the original enthusiasm that Mopar & Direct Connection expressed for this class (see my posts # 537 & 541) will quickly fade as the class will no longer have relevance to the electric performance cars that they are intending to push after next year.

Anybody follow this series or know of any FSS drivers that will be racing in the event? Drag Illustrated was a drag paper I would read back in the 60s and early 70s. I thought that they had folded up some 45 years ago. Maybe a revival for the internet?

"National Dragster's" season preview issue had articles on all their classes for the coming season. It was news to me but it looks like the Mopar Factory Stock teams have cut their ties with Schumacher's org/Kevin Helms and will throw in with the Bartons for Factory Stock Showdown. Here is the article with some very interesting comments from David Barton on the Mopar Hemi combo.........

The Bartons have a long history building successful Hemi powered cars but I'm a little hesitant to celebrate here, wondering how really hard David Barton will work to try to squeeze everything he can out of the Hemis when it would mean their thrashing his and his customers "Brand C" stuff.
