I recently purchased a 71 Fury with a 360 engine and factory a/c. It appears that all the original A/C components were saved when removed from the car but I don't know what components are usable. My local Advance Auto here in south Florida has a rebuilt compressor at a reasonable price but other parts such as the evaporator and condenser are another story. I'm thinking Classic Air might be the way to go and replace everything with a new system. Has anyone faced this dilemma and can offer an opinion/advice? Thanks, Jim

I've heard some people say the modern cylindrical compressors work much better with R134a than the old RV2 compresor like the original on your Fury. I don't know personally and that was several years back but my one friend didn't have that great of luck on the RV2 compressors either.
